Luca Porcella

10648937_LucaMy name is Luca Porcella and I obtained a Master’s Degree in International Relations in July 2013, with final grade 110/110 cum laude. I discussed a thesis in Comparative Politics entitled “Bridging the Gap. Lobbying and Democracy in the European Union”, which has recently been published by Lambert Academic Publishing.During my academic career I had the opportunity to work as a Communication Intern at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), where I was part of a multicultural and passionate team and I could experience how an international organization is structured and works. Since May 2013 I am working as a public sector consultant at Ernst & Young, participating in a number of projects, both for national and international Clients. Among them, it is worth to mention the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, where I am in charge of monitoring inward migration flows of unaccompanied foreign minors, preparing qualitative and quantitative reports and assisting the DG Immigration in performing its duties in this crucial area. I also participate in business development activities and I provide my support to project management tasks, with regards to the engagements I am working on.I have developed a highly result-oriented mind and I am used to face difficulties with a proactive attitude, trying to overcome daily obstacles with dedication and inclination to outcomes, coupled with a continuous effort to comply with deadlines and qualitative standards. My interests range from immigration (the area in which I have acquired a significant amount of skills) to government relations (the topic of my Master’s thesis), from not-for-profit to public policy.
